First hour
Topic: My Story | No Comments »After an 18 hour of day of not really knowing what I should be doing I was finally holding my first baby. A baby girl. Once she was born I still didn’t know what to do. I just sat there holding her.
Within minutes both I and our baby were asleep with her still in my arms. The following days were sleepless nights and trying to figure out this dad thing.
It is now a month and a half later, I now see that the learning will never end. One day when she leaves home I will begin learning to be a grandpa but that is a LONG way down the road. I don’t even what to think about that yet.
So to all the new dads out there, if you have just had a baby, don’t worry things will slowly get easier. Our daughter would just cry all night and eat every couple of hours. Soon with no sleep and frustrated my wife would nearly begin to cry. I felt like the world was comming to an end. Now however things are slowly returning to normal.
The best part is as she slowly grows she is becoming more and more responsive. You can see her thinking about what she sees and tries to figure things out. So if your tired and frustrated just be patient the rewards of having your little baby is comming.
