Who will she be?
Topic: My Story | No Comments »I was walking through the university during lunch break. It was nice and sunny but not scorching hot, which is unusual for us at this time of year. Out on the grassy landscaped hills near the Campus Activity Center, were about forty children running around and yelling. Some where playing tag, some where sitting and talking, and others where trying to climb a big pine tree. From further away they looked like little ants having a party at someones picnic lunch.
They all had there little groups of friends. Different interests in every group and with in every group individual personalities. Everyone dress in different cloths and colors. Children of all different sizes. Some were short, tall, skinny and others large. Although they were all children, they were all unique.
At two months old Joy is just learning to make little talking noises and likes it when we talk to her. It is, however, hard to visualize what she will be like when she gets older. Will she like to solve problems like me, will she be care free and fun like Jenn, will she like music like her uncle and aunt or will she be completely different from what we expect? Her life is just starting. Her personality just beginning to take shaped into the woman she will be. What will she be like even just five years from now?
Her big eyes are filled with wonder every time she sees something. They light up every time she sees mom or dad. Even with her exaggerated expressions of wonder and excitement, I am still a curious to know who is more excited. Is it her discovering something new or me seeing a life taking shape?
There is nothing more exciting than watching new innocent life being grow.
