As a blogger I like to read other people’s blogs and leave comments. Part of the reason is to get to know other people and what they are like. The other reason is a little more on the greedy side, I want to get more readers to my blog.

Most blogs will allow you to leave a comment with your name that links back to your site. I always saw this as a kind gesture as it in some ways gives a reward to leaving a comment. Sure I would like to leave a comment with nothing in return and sometimes I do, however, there are so many good blogs to read I prefer to read those that give something in return.

The nicest thing I have seen so far was CommentLuv which when a commenter leaves a comment it also displays their last post from their feed. I was honored to see that while I was spending the time to read someones blog they would return the favor by allowing me to leave a link to my latest post.

Finally I have got around to adding the WordPress Plugin and setting up an account with CommentLuv. It was simpler than I expected. Just create an account, download and install the plugin, then in the settings enter your CommentLuv id. Now I can share your latest post on my blog when you comment.
