When you first start out blogging you really have no idea how much of an investment it is of your time. And the friendships I have forged are real with so many bloggers. Cheers to making the best out of 2009!!

Happy New Year!

Orlund - It's good to hear that you all are enjoying some quality time together. I'm afraid we're all going back to work too soon, aren't we?

I think the choices you have made around your blog and blogging habits are very sound. I wish you and yours all the best in 2009.

Orlund...

I was just commenting to a non-blogging friend from my past about how my life has become so busy that some of the best friends I have are "virtual" friends... Friends I may never really meet face to face, but I imagine that given the opportunity would become fast and close friends.

I for one have you in the "Blogger friend" column. I enjoy your posts, and your comments.

Sometimes knowing that you are NOT just putting your thoughts out there to no-one (or that someone is reading them) is a good feeling!

Don't force blogging to happen. If you dont post for a week... Oh well.

If you post three times in one day.. GREAT.

Don't try and pigeonhole your blog into something you can not maintain. it will not be fun anymore.

It's a "hobby".

Think of this blog as a legacy of who you were at any given moment, and assume that someday your daughter may have an opportunity to read it, and learn more about who her father is!

good idea :) That way you can look back in 20 years and see the first steps of your life down that path with your wife and daughter :)

You know....the book idea is not a bad one. There are some sites that can turn your blog into a book. It would be cool to do one each year. You ought to check it out.
