Canon Rebel XSi
This month was spent working 18 days in a row with around 50 hours of overtime, selling and buying a house during those 18 days, going for surgery to get a wisdom tooth out and the best part….buying a Rebel XSi. After four years and over 10,000 shots on my Canon S2 IS that my wife bought me for our first Christmas it was time for an upgrade to a DSLR.
We still have 12 more days until we move so there is much more to do. But between the packing I will be testing out the camera. Although Canon is soon replacing this model with a newer (and more expensive) model, this is the one I wanted for over a year. Saving little tidbits of money (while saving for the new house) I finally went with my wife to buy it. Along with the 18-55mm lens I also got a 75-300mm lens.
Now I just need to learn how to use it properly!

CONGRATS!!! I’d LOVE a digital SLR… I have a traditional Pentax ME Super – but to be honest, I have not used it since we got our first digital in 2001.
I am looking forward to some great photo posts in the future… (once your life calms down a bit).
Good luck with the move!

I’m jealous. I’m still using a tiny Canon A540. I hate waiting for the flash to recycle on that thing.
