This last week I went ice fishing. Actually I didn’t fish but just went to take pictures. When my dad said he was going ice fishing with a friend I thought it was time I get out of my cubical and do something different. Over the last several years I have spent my time in front of a computer either going to school, working or programing little projects at home. Now that I am getting in to photography a bit I figured it would be a good excuse to get out and explore new things.

I fished once or twice before and don’t mind it but it is not at the top of my list of things to do. The cold is at the bottom of things I enjoy so ice fishing never was something I was to excited to try. I was a little worried about being stuck out in the cold for several hours but I liked the I idea of going somewhere have have never been before and watching something that I have never seen before.

It was fun. The nice thing about ice fishing is it is a good excuse to get out and relax. You just drop the bat down the hole and wait for those little suckers to come by. Then latter you can have a nice fresh dinner. My dad and his friend caught their limit, five brookies.
