Almost three weeks ago I broke my leg. That means I sit still as much as possible because my arm pits hurt from the crutches. So lately I have spent a lot of time reading my photography books.

On day I put the book on the back of the couch. I was doing something on my computer then some how knocked it and if fell off the back. It made a bit of a noise so my little girl went over to see what happened. She went over and tried to pick it up. As it is  fairly large book and she is quite small it took a lot of effort to pick it up properly without grabbing it by a couple of pages.

Eventually she closed the book and picked it up then brought it over to me. If you ever had little kids you will understand that even though this wasn’t a big task it is a big thing to a parent. To see they are observant about the things you like to do, about how they learn simple things like to close the book first be for you carry it, and to bring things to who they belong to.

After bringing me the book she went on her way talking in some unknown language, her hands moving and facial expressions to match. It was like she saw her daddy couldn’t get up to pick up my book and loved me so much she wanted to help out. Well at least I would like to think that but of course a few minutes later she was trying to drag me off the couch to play with her toys.
