Camping Trip 2012

We just returned from a 5 night camping trip. The kids had lots of fun. Joy and Olivia are now old enough that they went ‘exploring’ through the woods. At one point Olivia was stuck and Joy didn’t want to go help. We told Joy she was Dora the explorer and Olivia was Boots, Joy ran back into the woods to save her little side kick.

Olivia’s favorite thing to do was push Jacob in the stroller. She would push until she was tired and then wanted me to carry her. A few times she would see a squirrel and run after it leaving Jacob in the middle of the road. When she got really excited she would call the squirrel a mouse.

Jacob spent a lot of time learning to sit up and to crawl. He tries so hard to get moving. When we got home he crawled forward a little.

It was a good trip roasting wieners marshmallows and no eyes got poked out with the sticks. Our close smell like smoke and we are glad to be back in our own beds. So I guess we can call this trip a great success.
